Possesses jurisdiction over every place of employment in California. Enforces and administers all health, safety, occupational standards, and regulations.
Issues permits, licenses, certifications, registrations, and approvals for the safety of passengers riding on elevators, amusement rides, and tramways.
Inspects and issues citations to employers for violations related to protecting workers.
Provides a call center to help answer questions related to health and safety in the workplace. Provides information on topics such as heat illness prevention, wildfire smoke, and COVID-19. For more information visit the CalOSHA website.
