Description
Trains hearing dogs and matches them with deaf and hard of hearing adults. Hearing dogs are trained to alert to sounds by making physical contact then leading owner to the sound.
Eligibility
Individuals 18 years or older with hearing impairment. Applicant must need a hearing dog to alert them to a minimum of three sounds in the home. Be open to placement of dogs based on needs rather than preference for size, sex, breed, or color. No dog is currently living in the home.
