Description
California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC)- is a refundable tax credit meant to help low- to moderate-income people and families.
Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC)- Gives low- to moderate-income working parents of pre-school-aged children additional assistance.
Eligibility
California Earned Income Tax Credit(CalEITC): An adult, or a person with a qualifying child, who has a valid SSN or ITIN (for them, their spouse, and all qualifying children), earned income, and an AGI of $30,950 or less may qualify for CalEITC.
Live in California for more than half the filing year
Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC): If an individual qualifies for CalEITC and has a child who was under the age of six as of the end of the tax year, they likely qualify for YCTC as well.
Application Process
To qualify for the CalEITC and YCTC, file 2023 state income tax return with FTB to possibly receive the credits.

-Proof of income including W-2s and 1099
-Documentation of deductible expenses
-Form of Government Identification
-Social Security Card for each family member
-Account and routing numbers for checking or savings accounts for direct deposit and a faster refund
-Health Insurance Marketplace Statement (1095-A, B, and/or C)
-Copy of last year's tax returns, if available
