Description
Offers a free service that allows users to listen to phone conversations while reading word-for-word captions. Through the use of a designed CapTel phone, users speak directly to the other party while they listen. People read what's said on the bright, built-in display screen of the CapTel phone.
Eligibility
California resident with landline telephone service that is certified as deaf/deafened, cognitively disabled, hard of hearing, disabled due to mobility, having blindness/low vision, and/or having speech disability.
