Descriptions
Works with the medical community to identify TB (tuberculosis) residents, foster adherence to treatment regimens, prevent acquired drug resistance and reduce TB transmission in Ventura County. Provides screening and diagnostic work-ups. This includes:
- Sputum induction
- Nurse and physician evaluations
- Medication to prevent and treat Tuberculosis.
Also provides clearances for immigration, local schools, foster parents, local homeless shelters, drug and rehab facilities, and correctional facilities. Training and consultation to medical providers and community education are also available.
