Program: COUNTYWIDE FOSTER YOUTH SERVICES PROGRAM

Agency: VENTURA COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION (VCOE)

Description

Facilitates the educational needs of foster youths residing in licensed care institutions, foster homes, and county operated juvenile detention facilities. This includes;

  • Advocacy
  • Completion and transfer of school records.
  • Improving students academic achievement.
  • Reducing truancy, dropout rates, and delinquent behavior.

Eligibility

Individuals from 4-21 years of age.

Application Process

Call for foster youth liaisons by district.
