Program: MIGRANT EDUCATION PROGRAM

Agency: VENTURA COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION (VCOE)

Description

Assists migratory children overcome factors that prevent them from doing well in school. Prepares migratory children to make a successful transition to post-secondary education or employment.

Eligibility

Migratory students are eligible for funding if they have moved during the last 36 months because they, or members of their family, were trying to obtain temporary or seasonal employment in agricultural, dairy, fishing, or logging activities.

Application Process

Child must be screened at their most recent school within their school district.
