Description
Assesses the safety of the home and installs weatherization measures to reduce energy consumption in the home. Provides information on energy-efficiency and conservation practices Services may include:
- Home Assessment & Diagnostic testing.
- Repair or replace broken windows & glass.
- Repair or replacement of nonfunctioning or hazardous water heaters, furnaces, and stoves.
- Provide or replace microwave.
- Replacement of stoves, clothes washer and dryer.
- Installation of energy-efficient LED light bulbs and LED Torchiere Lamps.
- Weatherstripping doors and windows.
- Installation of low-flow shower heads & faucet aerators.
- Installation of carbon monoxide detectors and smoke alarms.
- Other Limited home repairs.
Eligibility
Income-qualified households. Available to homeowners and renters/tenants. Qualification documentation and home assessments are verified by intake specialist and assessor.
