Descriptions
Provides outpatient mental health services to adults who have a mental health disorder that is affecting their functioning. Each clinic provides:
- Psychiatric assessment
- Medication services
- Psychological testing
- Individual and group therapies
- Crisis intervention
- Rehabilitation services
- Case management services
Also assists individuals in:
- Obtaining employment
- Accessing medical care
- Receiving treatment for addictions
- Finding safe and secure housing
Services are provided in the community, in the home and within residential placements if needed.
Eligibility
Must be at least 18 years old, with a serious mental health disorder that is substantially affecting the person's functioning at home, school, work or the community.
VCBH does not provide mental health services to clients whose behaviors or problems are due primarily to mental retardation, autism, or substance abuse. VCBH is able to provide mental health services ordered through Probation. VCBH does not provide mental health services that are court ordered.
