Provides information to help individuals representing themselves navigate the court process. Includes materials for use within the center to assist in completing forms and preparing court papers. Staff cannot represent clients. Conferences with the staff at the Center are not confidential.
Family Law refers to:
- Dissolution (divorce)
- Legal separation
- Child custody
- Restraining orders Visitation disputes
- Child and spousal support
- Property and debt division
Non-Family Law can include:
- Adoption
- Conservatorship
- Eviction proceedings
- Guardianship
- Name changes
- Small claims
- Traffic tickets
- Weddings
Eligibility
Open to all members of the community not represented by an attorney
Application Process
Walk-in assistance is available on a first-come first-served basis. Space is limited. Customers may be referred to online resources for further assistance.
