Program: VALLEY DIAL-A-RIDE & FIXED ROUTE SERVICE

Description

Provides fixed-route and Americans with Disabilities Act Dial-A-Ride services. ADA/DAR services offered on a "curb to curb" basis to individuals with special needs and seniors 65 years of age and older.

Curb-to-curb transit service to the general public available anywhere within the communities of:

  • Santa Paula
  • Rancho Sespe
  • Fillmore
  • Barsdale
  • Piru

Fixed Route service has the Heritage Valley area in Ventura County covered. Buses can take individuals within the cities of Fillmore, Santa Paula, and Piru. Also offers connections from Fillmore-Moorpark, stops include: the Moorpark Metrolink Station, Moorpark Marketplace, and Moorpark College, with service seven days a week.

ADA certified clients: The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a Federal Law that prohibits discrimination based on one's disability in regard to employment, public services, and transportation. The ADA guarantees people with disabilities equal access to public transportation. Public transportation providers cannot refuse service to those with disabilities.

Eligibility

Dial-a-ride is open to all. Riders with ADA certification and Seniors 65 years of age or older are given priority during the reservation process.
Fixed Route is open to all

Application Process

Call at least two hours before your desired trip time. Same-day reservations will be provided on a space-available basis only. Please be ready. Bus may arrive up to 30 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time.

Fees

Dial-a-Ride Fees:
Cash Fare: $2.00 per trip
Transfer Fee: $0.50 with valid Valley Express or VCTC Intercity transfer
Monthly Super Pass: $30 Adult/Youth, $25 Senior/ADA Ride. Super Pass is good on all Valley Express services, fixed routes, and Dial-A-Ride. *Children under 5-years old ride for free when accompanied by a paying rider.
