Descriptions
Provides services to Native Americans, Alaska Natives, and Hawaiian Natives. Supportive services, such as mental health services are provided as well as:
- Career training and support services: Resume building, job search assistance, and transportation to job interviews
- Educational training: Financial aid, GED preparation, enrolling for classes, and book/school supplies
- Food vouchers
- Clothing: School clothing, clothing for job interviews, assistance paying for uniforms
- Emergency services: Rent payment assistance, utility assistance, transportation, and emergency food supplies
Eligibility
Must be enrolled with a federally recognized tribe, low-income, and live within urban areas of Ventura county. Potential Participants must also be unemployed, underemployed, interested in seeking skills for a new career path, or recently laid-off.
