Program: DEAF/HARD OF HEARING HOMEAWARE KITS

Description
Provides home kits to individuals with are deaf or hard of hearing. Kits help make homes more accessible for those who are deaf or hard of hearing with items including:
- Clock with a bed shaker
- Pager to alert to activity in and around the home
- Doorbell
- Smoke and CO detector
Also offers a smartphone transmitter that works with the HomeAware app.
Eligibility
Open to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing in Ventura County
Application Process
Contact the Independent Living Advocate for the Deaf for information on how to obtain a kit
