Program: CALWORKS HOUSING SUPPORT PROGRAM (CHSP)

Description
Provides help to move families (or families at risk of homelessness) into rental housing. This support could include rental referrals, a deposit or some rental assistance.
Eligibility
Resident of Ventura County who is homeless or has an eviction notice and at least one member of the family is receiving CalWORKs benefits. Undocumented parents may be eligible for assistance if they have a child who is receiving CalWORKs benefits.
Application Process
Call your CalWORKs worker for a CHSP referral.
Documents
Proof that at least one household member is a CalWORKS recipient.
